ADVANCED OPERATOR INTERFACE DESIGN

摘要

ConocoPhillips (COP) Rodeo Refinery completed a control system modernization project whichrncreated a need for a replacement operator interface. COP partnered with Human CenteredrnSolutions LLP to create an interface that incorporated human factors in the design principles.rnThis paper describes the COP Rodeo Refinery and Human Centered Solutions LLP projectrnteam's approach in developing these principles which were based on guidelines from thernAbnormal Situation Management Consortium ?. In addition, the strategic elements of therndesigns are highlighted to illustrate the nature of the transition from past practices. Key successrnfactors as well as challenges are discussed.
