Four reinforced concrete shear walls were tested to failure under the horizontal cyclic reverse load. Then the experimental study was carried out on the bending property of the four reinforced concrete shear walls strengthened with basalt fiber sheets under cyclic reverse load. The failure modes of the shear walls were analyzed. Based on the test data, the bending capacity of shear walls was affected by the number of layers of the basalt fibre sheets were emphatically analyzed. The calculation model and calculation formulas of bending capacity of strengthened concrete shear walls were put forward, which was in connection with the computational formulas of bending capacity of normal reinforced concrete shear wall. The calculated results coincided with the test results closely.
