摘要

The cultivated banana (Musa spp.) have evolved from inter-specific hybrids of Musa acuminata Colla (AA genome) and Musa balbisiana Colla (BB genome). In this paper, a novel molecular marker sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) was studied to determine diversity and relationship among 29 banana (Musa spp.) genotypes. The genetic relationship was analyzed and the genetic similarity coefficients were calculated. The results showed that most genetic relationship among cultivars was correlated to the region of origin of cultivars and all 29 cultivars could be clustered into two major clusters closely corresponded with the genome composition of the varieties (AA genome and the hybrids between AA genome and BB genome). Several subgroups are recognized within the major cluster correlation with geographic environment and that some cultivars examined in this study did not cluster accordingly to their hypothetical genetic homologies may suggest missampling or misidentification. All results indicated that the amplification of SRAP markers is an efficient method for estimating genetic similarity among banana varieties and providing a scientific basis for banana genetic research and breeding.
