Current test and evaluation (T&E) systems are notrnsufficiently well integrated with defined net-centricrnarchitectures to support system-of-systems and enterprisernlevel testing. This paper discusses a test and developmentrnenvironment using Discrete Event System SpecificationrnModeling Language (DEVSML) and the Service OrientedrnArchitecture (SOA) framework. The underlying DEVSrnModeling Language is built on XML and provides modelrninteroperability among DEVS models hosted at remoternnetwork addresses. We describe the client application thatrncommunicates with multiple servers hosting DEVSrnSimulation services and the underlying SOADEVSrnframework. We show how SOADEVS is positioned tornaddress the need for a DoD Architecture Framework,rnDoDAF-based net-centric paradigm for test and evaluationrnat the system-of-systems and enterprise systems levels. ThernSOADEVS framework provides the needed feature of runtimerncomposability of coupled systems using the SOArnframework.
