The imaging algorithm of bistatic synthetic aperture radar(BiSAR )depends on its geometry, so the algorithm may be simplified in some specific cases. The paper studied an imaging algorithm for BiSAR in the case that both transmitter and receiver have equal velocity vectors. According to characteristics of the Bistatic geometry, it was transformed equivalently to a monostatic geometry by a range compensation so that the high efficiency ECS algorithm for monostatic SAR may be used. Some simulations verified the equivalent monostiatc algorithm for BiSAR.
