The individualization of products and their increase ofrnvariants are formative for the development of the industrialrnproduction. In order to bear the challenge of the globalrnmarket, the automotive industry reacts with shorterrndevelopment periods and a higher level of producedrnvariants. Therefore the automotive and supplier industryrnfollows the vision of the "digital factory", in order tornintegrate the development process of product and requiredrnproduction processes. As one basic workflow, the ramp-uprnof new products, product variants or facelifts during arncontinuous production is a growing factor in therndevelopment process. Material flow simulation is up to nowrnwidely used in those planning areas, where the designedrnscenario itself stays constant over the simulated time. Thisrnarticle presents a method of online adjustment of simulationrnmodels in the material flow simulator "d~3FACT insight",rnwhich offers not only a multi user support, but also allowsrnthe user to change the simulation model during itsrnexecution.
