This paper proposes an approach to evaluate the LifernCycle Cost of complex systems; in the paper the casernstudy related to an Aircraft Carrier is proposed as wellrnas a methodology to combine statistical and preventivernanalysis based on simulation; a special approach isrnpresented and validated over the case of the new ItalianrnAircraft Carrier for estimating parameters, unknown inrnadvance, in relation to the reliability of the vessel.
