Comparison of SimTraffic and VISSIM Microscopic Traffic Simulation Tools in Signalized Intersections Modeling

SimTraffic and VISSIM are two microscopic traffic simulation tools that are capable of modeling arterials with signalized intersections. This paper will compare the Version 6.0 of SimTraffic with Version 3.6 of VISSIM. The simulation tools will be compared in many aspects: user interface, modeling capabilities, traffic behavior, simulation output, and other advanced features.
