Performance analysis of integrated production planning in various supply chain environment

Many companies have tried to get the competitive advantage through the effective supply chain management. To manage the supply chain effectively, the information sharing among supply chain members are indispensable. In practical, many supply chain members are reluctant to share their information although they agree with the idea that the information sharing can improve the supply chain performance. The best way to encourage for them to share their information is to show how much the information sharing will be beneficial to their interest. In this study, we analyze the effect of the information sharing in the supply chain using simulation model. The experimental result shows in which supply chain environment the benefit of the information sharing in the supply chain is maximized or minimized.
