This work shows that discrete fracture network modeling isrnvery desirable for the characterization of naturally fracturedrnreservoirs but it is only a highly subjective starting point.rnThus, calibration against short and long term pressure transientrntests is most crucial. This paper shows how the dynamicrnbehavior of a discrete fracture network model of Margarita gasrnfield compared against pressure transient measurements in arnsidetrack delineation-well. The performance comparison of arnvery fine-grid reservoir model, which included the discreternfracture network information, versus a much coarser upscaledrngrid model is also documented.
