The terminal building for Kwang-Myeong high-speed railway station, one of the 7 brand new stations on the Kyung-rnBu line in Korea, was constructed at the end of 2003. This building is composed of steel roof structures andrnreinforced concrete structures for two stories below. The steel roof covering 8 rail-lanes is 306 meters (m) long andrn106.5 m wide. The central roof truss is 3-hinged with Vierendeel arches, and each aisle roof of Vierendeel trusses isrncrescent shaped. The structural components are connected at 23 kinds of cast steel joints.
