Asymptotic Analysis on Maximum-Likelihood Criterion for Multiuser Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Systems

In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic property of the maximum-likelihood (ML) criterion tor multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. This letter proves the ML criterion not only obtains overall optimal BER performance, but also asymptotically attains minimum BER performance for each user in multiuser MIMO systems.
