The German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD) of thernGerman Aerospace Center (DLR) is an element in thernnetwork of the Multimission Facilities of ESA andrnresponsible among other tasks for SAR processing.rnThe DLR has implemented a service for value addedrnproducts over land. This service can support the userrncommunity with preceise geocoded products in addtionrnto the standard products of ESA [3]rnEnvisat GEOcoding system (EGEO) supports highrnresolution images, the medium resolution and also thernlow resolution mode from ENVISAT, product examplesrnwill be presented.rnThe user service includes also the integration of nationalrngeodetic maping parameter to the products. Differentrndatumshift parameter sets are implemeted. Newrnparameter sets can be easily integrated, if the user canrndeliver the required geodetic parameters.rnTwo major types of geocoded products are available:rn? Enhanced Ellipsoid Corretced (EEC)rn? Enhanced Geocoded Terrain Corrected (ETC)rnThe EEC generation is a fully automated process. Thernprocess has access to a Digital Elavation Model (DEM)rndata base, because the GLOBE DEM (1km resolution) isrnused to reduce height induced errors in a global quality.rnThe ETC uses the best available DEM to eliminaterngeometric mislocation. SRTM DEMs with 100m andrn25m resolution and other high resolution DEMs, e.g.rnInSAR DEMs or from other sources can be utilized.rnThe system was built up in co-operation with thernRemote Sensing Laboratory (RSL) of the UniversityrnZürich (CH) and Joanneum Research, Graz (A). ESArnand the German Ministry of Education and Researchrn(BMBF) support this project.
