Properties of Focused Apertures Antennas

Based on the scalar diffraction theory, the focused conditions of aperture are outlined and the electric field distribution of focused aperture is discussed. It is shown that higher electric field intensity can be achieved when electromagnetic energy is focused in the Fresnel or near region. It is useful in some areas such as communicating to a given point, transferring energy to a particular region or other else.
