An Experimental Investigation of Broadband Tunable HF Crossed-Field Antenna ( CFA )

摘要

First part of this article introduces the structure and operation mechanism of CFA, then it will give an experimental investigation of a sort of λ/60--- λ/40 CFA , through measuring VSWR and comparing electric fields between a sort of λ/60--- λ/40 HF CFA and λ/4 wavelength whip antenna, which show CFA is a very small, broadband, and efficient electrically small antenna.Tested results show that those performance parameters are not limited by the electrically small antenna theory.
