Design of a Whispering-Gallery Mode Resonator for Millimeter Wave Filter using FDTD Method

摘要

In this paper, the resonance characteristics of WG mode dielectric disk resonator are calculated using the FDTD method in the cylindrical coordinate system. In the FDTD analysis for the WG mode resonator, the accuracy can be improved using the cylindrical coordinate system instead of the cartesian coordinate system for a BPF design. Furthermore, the coupling coefficient of the coupled WG mode resonators is calculated for a BPF design using the cylindrical FDTD. The calculated result is in good agreement with the measured one.
