The Influence and Compensation of Antenna Array Mutual Coupling In DOA Estimation

Based upon subspace principle of array signal processing, this paper investigates the influence and compensation of antenna array mutual coupling in direction of arrival (DOA) estimation. Firstly, the influence of the array output brought by mutual coupling is introduced. Then, the calculation of mutual resistance which denotes the mutual coupling is introduced. The method of mutual coupling compensation in the incoherent sources and coherent sources is proposed. Finally, the computer simulation results demonstrate that this method is correct and effective.
