The Fire Risk Analysis of the Shipping Docks for Hazardous Chemicals and Fire-Fighting Countermeasures

The shipping docks for hazardous chemicals contain such characteristics as a large shipping capacity, a greater potential fire risk, more difficult water supply at the berth of the dock, higher demand of fire-fighting apparatus, greater difficulty in putting out a fire, bigger losses during the fire, more harmful to neighboring water area, and so on. To make an objective analysis of the fire risk and grasp the characteristics and law of fires are of great significance in the fire protection and the reduction of fire losses. Through overall analysis of the fire risk, some safety countermeasures are proposed to prevent the fire and explosion of the docks for hazardous chemicals according to the characteristics of the docks and the technology of loading and unloading hazardous chemicals.
