The CRM application is an important facilitator of the bank's business. Thus, capacity planning designed reports to analyze it and make forecasts. Though the application's complex characteristics present formidable challenges for the capacity planning group, a methodology called principal component analysis helps determine which variables contribute to the application's CPU usage, and is critical in forecasting that usage.
