For movement target without velocity information in passive coherent location system, unknown Doppler shift between direct signal and target echo results in the decrease of output highest peak value and the occurrence of some false peaks. Therefore, several Doppler compensation methods are compared in terms of the Doppler decorrelation loss factor. And the sufferance of Doppler decorrelation loss from different inherent correlation time of signals and different overlap time in cross-correlator is analyzed. Simultaneously, the rationality of two stages processing is explained. In order to reduce computational burden much more, FFT pruning algorithm is introduced into segment Doppler compensation. The results of simulations are in close agreement with theory predictions.
