THEORY AND PRACTICE OF EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF DEEP SEATED GAS FIELDS

The existence of the second deep-seated zone of gas-bearing formations is grounded. This zone is characterized by specific features of gas generation and spatial distribution of gas fields, thus requiring creation of new methods for exploration and development. The determinative exploration criterion for the second deep-seated gas-bearing zone is not so much anticline structure and regionally traced reservoir beds, as local areas of high dilatancional fracturing. It changes the targets and technologies of geophysical prospecting. New approaches developed for these objects are used in super-deep drilling in Precaspian basin.
