TOP-FLANGE LATERAL BRACING OF STEEL BOX GIRDERS

摘要

This paper presents the results of analytical studies and experimental tests conducted on steel U-shaped girders with top-flange lateral bracing. Girder flexural capacities and brace forces from experiments are compared with theoretical predictions and code-based estimates. In addition, implications of a shortening phenomenon associated with the top-flange bracing are discussed.
