The paper has first analyzed the regular distribution pattern of the blasting vibration field occurred at contour of adjacent tunnel. Maximum vibration level occurs at the head-on collision point to the blasting seismic wave and at the arch top. The vibration level at the wall corner is small, while the vibration level of the wall at the other side is 1/25 of that of the head-on collision side. Besides the analysis on a huge amount of test data, we also studied the relations between blasting features, geology conditions and the vibration attenuation. It has been further developed the theoretical explanation. At the final part of the paper some related proposals are made on the measures to be taken for minimizing blasting vibration based on the summary of analysis on the vibration characteristics of tunnels.
