High precision,high shape complexity,good adaptability to various alloys and batch requirements make the traditional investment casting process a widely used process in modern industry.This paper focuses on the essential feature of investment casting.The characteristics and technology branch of investment casting are analyzed.Combined with the requirements of high-end castings,the mechanism of the key process is pointed out.And new challenges for investment casting process are described.
