By a differential capillary rise method, liquid-vapor interface surface tension was measured for newrncandidates of next generation refrigerant HFO-1123 and HCFO-1224yd(Z) at temperatures from 266 K to 304rnK and from 266 K to 340 K, respectively. The repeatability and reproducibility of the measurement methodrnwere checked with HFC-134a and HFC-32. The propagated uncertainty in surface tension was estimated tornbe within ±0.2 mNm~(-1). Based on the measured data, the Van der Waals type empirical correlations werernproposed for HFO-1123 and HCFO-1224yd(Z), those are associated with the critical temperatures reportedrnby Higashi and Akasaka. These empirical correlations agree with the measured surface tension data withinrnthe measurement uncertainty in the tested temperature range.
