A photovoltaic (PV) stand-alone system using dual inverter based double-band hysteresis adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) is presented in this paper. The topology consists of two isolated PV subpanels that feeding dual inverter. The dual inverter connected load through open-end windings transformer. The proposed control technique is developed the voltage regulator through vector control scheme and the ASMC based current control. The control scheme is capable to supplied active power. An adaptive hysteresis band is used to adopt the desired dual inverter switching-frequency. Dual inverter switching technique is employed to generate multilevel inverters output voltage. The effectiveness of the present control scheme is verified under steady/transient state, load disturbance and also assumed atmospheric conditions. Furthermore, the results are validated using MATLAB-simulation environments and through a scaled laboratory prototype of dual PV inverter that is developed for experimental verification.
