In this contribution, an ultrasonic inspection techniques for variety of materials and structures are carried out using a water-coupling medium. This type of inspection can be accomplished either with a water jet impinging on the sample to be studied or indeed by the use of a scanning device based on a water bath. The paper will briefly review the development of new polymer materials used in the design and fabrication of ultrasonic transducers. It will then go on to the comparison of theoretical and experimental results Finally the agreement in both the frequency and time domain is shown.
