Scheduling in the large-scale and complicated manufacturing environment is a complex task performed by humans and computers. In a scheduling system, agents cooperate in order to make an acceptable schedule or negotiate in order to reach an agreement that will provide a solution. In order to illustrate how agents may collaborate as a team, we will take a simple scheduling example in a manufacturing system that consists of several production factories. In this case, agents who act as planners, schedulers, supervisors and computers will be responsible for performing cooperation tasks, working together to achieve a common goal. We will show the scenarios and agents' behaviors through behavior diagrams, data models, transition diagrams, and behavior design and implementation as a manufacturing example.
