Recent studies have shown that risk management is not being effectively carried out across organisations. Although, in many cases project and business risk was identified, very little was done in terms of cost effective mitigation. It was realised that an integrated approach to risk management was required which must address three key aspects of a business organisation: its strategy, its processes and its people. To support these key aspects, an enterprise software solution is required which is able to provide the right level of secure information to the right levels of management at the right time. This will result in improved communication and visibility in terms of what are the potential problems to an organisation and who is controlling them. It has been shown that improved communication, ultimately improves the chances of completing the projects within budget, timescales and to the agreed requirements.
