摘要

All of the adsorbents show good capacity for the adsorption of the dyes tested as demostrated by the residual concentrations. The Ambersorb 572 performed as expected at amounts adsorbed up to 10 times greater than the activated carbon in equilibrium. It exhibits a capacity for dyes in solution in concentrations below 10 ppb and withing the detectability of the quipment used. The Ambersorb 1500 performed poorer than expected but not unreasonably so, with adsorption amounts lower than the activated carbon. From this data it can be concluded that kinetic testing of Ambersorb 572 should be undertaken using these same acid dyes. Also static testing of additional dye structures and classifications should be undertaken.
