A Primary Study on Near Field Distribution of Hand-held Transceivers on the Horizontal Plane

This paper studies the near field idstribution of a hand-held transceiver, model Kenwood, TR2500. Its near field distribution on the horizontal plane is studied in three cases. One case is that the antenna is normal to the ground udner the condition without the human model. The other two cases are that the angle included between the antenna and the normal line of ground is 45 degrees under the condition with human model and without it respectively. The paper gives the near field contour pots of the transceiver by numerical calculation and experiments. It shows that fields in most region eecrease when the transceiver is placed close to human model.
