In December 1995, a joint venture in southwestern Pennsylvania was formed, known as CCB Services. This joint venture operates under a marketing agreement and functions as a strategic alliance between Trumbull Corporation (construction contractor), GAI Consultants, Inc. (geotechnical and environmental consultants) and Duquesne Light Company (electric utility company). The purpose of CCB Services is to market the coal combustion by-products, FGD scrubber sludge, fixated FGD material (LPC Material) and specialty products produced and processed at Duquesne Light Company's fossil generating power stations. CCB Services can provide the following services to clients: Total design/build operations, technical assistance and engineering, material supply and delivery, construction services, construction monitoring and quality control. CCB Services can also obtain the required permits and necessary approvals from the Department of Environmental Protection.
