摘要

A quantitative investigation on critical heat flux (CHF) in previous experiments was intensively carried out to evaluate an effect of the channel length in short channels under forced convection with high velocity and high subcooling. As a result, it was made clear that a smaller channel length-to-channel diameter L/D gave higher CHF with other parameters being kept constant in case of L/D smaller than about 25. Based on the results obtained thus was proposed a new CHF correlation predicting the effect of L/D in very short channels of L/D less than 25 with D larger than 2 mm at 0.1 MPa within the errors of about ± 35 %.
