Our objective in this research is to focus on the critical processing and design issues in thallium based high temperature supercnducting (HTS) passive, and hybrid microwave circuits. Critical processing issues are identified. along with the effect of each. The design issues focussed are: 1. modelling of HTS microstrip lines using the electrical and microwave properties of patterned HTS thin films, taking into consideration the effect of kinetic inductance and 2. hybrid circuit design using HTS microwstrip circuits and active semiconductor devices.
