Cavities and open resonators with arrays of active devices re used in many appoliations (1). They are promising, particularly, for developing wide-band noise generators as shown theoretically in (2) where the noise in a 1D open resonator was studied. The noise was shown to arise due to dynamical chaos in the nonlinear system formed by the microwave fieold coupling with the active medium at the resonator mirror. In (3), the similar problem of a 2D rectangular cavity with array of active devices was considered. The noise in the cavity was shown to be accompanied with a significant multi-frequency generation while a smooth power sepectrum is often required.
