Based on the formulas fo ranalyzing weakly coupled, aperture-type, mode-selective directional couplers, we have designed a -60dB directional coupler for 8 mm TE_03 circular mode operation. Cold measurements of the forward and reverse coupling for the principal mode are found to be good agreement with theory.
