摘要

A conically-shaped microlens has been fabricated directly on the end face of a single-mode fibre (SMF) which demonstrates low coupling losses of -1.8dB and -1.34dB at the operating wavelengths of 0.82um and 1.55um, respectively. Experimental results on lateral and axial misalignments are also reported.
