Under the influence of the development of supervising radar systems in these years, attempts have been made to maintain the average power level of the transmitters using tubes of lower peak power level as well as to increase the bandwidth of the amplifier. It seems nowadays that the most possible candidates for the amplifier may be coupling cavity TWTs and klystrons.
