We considered the internal voltages of inverter driven motors in which steep-fronted surge was applied. Thernfollowing results were obtained.rnl)Coil voltages are calculated by the lumped element circuit using self-inductance, capacitance-to-ground,rnequivalent resistance of core loss and mutual-inductance between same group coils. 2)Self-inductance and equivalent resistance of core loss have the frequency characteristics and they arernestimated by the regression expressions for the steep-fronted surge.rnWe intend to utilize these results for coil insulation design. Hereafter, we will apply our findings to improve the suitability of voltages and lead the equation of mutual-inductance. And we will also apply these results to wire-wound motors.
