AUTOMATED RADIATED EMISSION MEASUREMENT FROM 18-40 GHZ

This paper describes the hardware configuration and development of software in BASIC language version 5.0 for making Automated Radiated Emission Measurements from 18-40 GHz. Harmonic mixers are used to extend the range of Spectrum Analyzer upto 40 GHz. The instrumentation consists of Spectrum Analyzer with GPIB interface, Harmonics mixers, Instrument controller, XY plotter, Printer and Double Ridged Guide Antenna covering the desired freq range of 18-40 GHz. The software developed is user friendly having features like, Test Library for storing different Test Setup parameters, Data Library for storing test data, display of measured data on the monitor and selectable frequency range. The test results can be plotted using plotter and the values can be repeated through main menu of the software.
