From autumn 2009, Road Traffic Information Service and Driving Safety SupportrnInformation Service began in Japan with the release of ITS Spot compatible Car NavigationrnSystem (CNS). ITS Spots can provide a two-way high-speed and high-volumerncommunication. It aggregates vehicle data such as its location and condition to the ProbernIntegration Server, and these data are used for road management like traveling speed. HitachirnLtd. is conducting demonstration experiments on the map matching technology using proberndata in China since 2004. In FY2010, this probe technology is implemented to the ProbernIntegration Server of which the system specification was developed by National Institute forrnLand, Infrastructure Management,, Ministry Land, Infrastrucure, Transport and Tourismrn(MLIT). And the system was built by Kanto Regional Development Bureau, MLIT. In thisrnpaper, we will report on how we have applied Hitachi probe technology to improve the maprnmatching technology for the realization of the accuracy improved integration of probe datarnand its evaluation result.
