COMPLEX FIELD STUDIES OF ICE COVER MORPHOMETRY

摘要

The methodology of comprehensive field studies of ice cover morphometry both of level ice and ice features is presented. It was tested and improved during multiyear expedition activities of the AARI ("Arctic-Shelf Laboratory). The paper presents diverse methods used for determining the characteristics of external geometry of ice and ice features, internal structure peculiarities of the latter and also for recording the additional components (snow cover and ice blocks).
