Dual-conjugate wavefront generation with liquid crystal spatial light modulators

Abstract: Liquid crystal spatial light modulators have recently been used to generate aberrated wavefronts. We have used two ferroelectric liquid crystal devices to simulate turbulence from two layers of the atmosphere, which will be used in future work to test multi-conjugate adaptive optics systems.!5
