摘要

The linear equation of motion for the transverse vibrations of a spinning disk can be derived based on the assumption of linear strains or by linearizing the equation derived with nonlinear von Karman strains. It is shown that the assumption of linear strains is not successful for spinning disks and that nonlinear strains must be used even for the small transverse deflections.
