摘要

In this paper, a numerical model of three-dimensional unsteady temperature field in a moving double-sided gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process is developed. Attempts were made to theoretically probe into the factors that affect the temperature distributions in the process, which may reasonably explain those phenomena, appeared in the process. Results show that the temperature distribution is more concentrated and the ratio of depth to width of the weld is bigger than that by conventional process.
