Product dynamic model with multiple views for rapid variant design

摘要

Product model is crucial to CAD systems. Unfortunately, current model is not general enough to support all aspects of product development. In particular, variant design is a popular design type in recent years. But there is no suitable product model for it. The paper first analyzes the requirements of variant design for product model, then introduces a Product Dynamic Model as well as its sub-models, and describes the views of sub-models. Based on these, it presents an intelligent process combining rule-based reasoning and case-based reasoning for variant design.
