This paper describes the experimental results obtained from the EC-FOREVER-1 test and its analysis.rnThis is an integral test at prototypic conditions of high temperature and pressure employing a 1:10 scale reactorrnpressure vessel(RPV), with the lower head made of 16MND5-French RPV steel and the upper cylindrical partrnmade of 15Mo3-German steel. The melt filled the hemisperical lower head and a part of the cylindrical section.rnThe pressure applied was equal to 2.8 MPa, representing the depressurised severe accident scenario. Vesselrnfailure was acheived in this test, 66 min after pressurisation. The failure site was located just above the weldrnline between the hemispherical and the cylindrical sections of the RPV. Steady state temperature and pressurernloading conditions were obtained and the multiaxial creep deformations of the vessel were measured till thernfailure of the vessel was achieved.
