Impact of Random Pointing Errors on Coherent Laser Radar Efficiency and Scintillation Index

摘要

In this work we presented analytic expressions for the pointing efficiency and scintillation index for a Gaussian beam coherent ladar with a diffuse Gaussian target reflectance profile and arbitrary correlation between the pointing errors of the transmitter and receiver. Simple cases representing a point target or an infinite extended target immediately follow by examining limiting cases of the Gaussian target.
