An improved metallized film capacitor using a new acrylate coating process

A new high speed process for coating thin layers of crosslinked acrylate materials has been developed for coating film and paper materials. This process is characterized by the high level of uniformity of the coating, the ability to uniformly apply coatings at thicknesses below 0.1 micron, the high level of abrasion and corrosion resistance provided by this protective coating, and its ability to be deposited at very high speeds.
