摘要

The non-linear differential equations together with a non-linear range rate control algorithm have been derived to describe the controlled motion of the system. In the case of mass-less tether, the differential equations are ordinary to result in the regular dynamics characterized by the fixed point or limit cycle on the phase plane of the system. The mass-distributed tether system is described by a set of partial differential equations, which is very difficult to be integrated even by the numerical methods. Instead, the stationary configuration of the tether has been examined, which exposes the essential properties of the system in application.
